Our Story

Welcome to Putnam County Parks and Recreation Valley Park, home of Waves of Fun, Esther and Norman Hiking Trail (In Red House), Hometown Park (in Hometown), Fishing ponds, walking trails, soccer field, baseball fields, disc golf course, and tennis courts and events for the entire family to enjoy

Shelters are available to rent for picnics. One large shelter with indoor kitchen and the conference center offers beautiful space for weddings, meetings, banquets and more!

Putnam County Parks and Recreation’s Friends of the Park Foundation was created to focus on park improvements and projects that benefit our community. Active community members willing to donate, volunteer, and participate are essential in helping our park grow.
