Facilities 

Putnam County Parks & Recreation includes Valley Park, Mitchell’s Grove, and the Walter & Ester Norman Memorial Nature Trail. These beautiful parks are known for their impeccible looks and many outdoor activities. Whether you are looking for a piece of history, a recreational sport, or a good hike, Putnam County Parks & Recreation has something for everyone!

Conference Center 

The Conference Center at Valley Park consists of three rooms that are roughly 42ft x 62ft. These smaller rooms can be transformed into one larger room equating to almost 8,000 sq. ft. The versatility of these rooms makes this Conference Center great for any event!

Dog Park 

Valley Park features a clean & safe, fenced-in area where dog owners can allow their dog to run, play, and socialize off-leash. It offers shaded areas, benches, and agility courses that guarantee peace of mind for any owner & fun for any dog! 

Disc Golf Course 

The Disc Golf Course located in Valley Park has visitors ranging from all over the country. It has been acknowledged as the best Disc Golf Course in West Virginia for multiple years in a row. The good terrain and differing level of difficulty makes this course great for any skill level. 

Shelters

Valley Park offers 5 small shelters & 1 large shelter. These shelters provide great scenery to the park, and amenities like grills and electric. Without a doubt, these shelters would be an excellent choice for any occasion! 

Fields/Sports

The Sports Complex at Valley Park features 3 turf baseball fields and 1 turf soccer field. These fields are well maintained & well lit year round. They can house any need from practice to large tournaments.

Park Maps & Trails

Putnam County Parks & Recreation is equipped with three different trails with two at Valley Park and one at the Ester & Walter Norman Memorial Nature Trail. These trails are known for their beutiful scenery. Maps of both Valley Park & the trail can be found here. 

All inclusive playground

Valley Park is home to one of Putnam County’s greatest all inclusive playgrounds. It is designed to be a safe, welcoming place allowing  children of all abilities to play, explore, and connect together.
